Pop Quiz! What Type Of Learner Are You?

Pencils down. Time to take a quick quiz and figure out exactly what kind of learner you are! Do you like to make flashcards? Use mind maps? Learn online? According to a new infographic by onlinecollege.org, there’s a whole array of ways people learn. And, as you probably guessed, everyone learns differently.

There are essentially four types of learners:

  1. visual learners,
  2. auditory learners,
  3. read and write learners, and
  4. kinesthetics learners.

    Great inforgraphic! Very useful for English as a Second Language learners as well.

    And, yes I think it should be translated in many languages.

    It’s unfortunate that the myths on learning styles persist. Yes, there are preferences in approach for certain situations, but they are not absolutes.

    Can you is please not spread this tosh about “learning styles”? It’s not the same as learning preferences and it makes people think they’re either one or the other when there’s absolutely no scientific basis to suggest that people who have a preference for one mode of learning don’t learn as well with another. And the reality is that sometimes you can’t choose how you take in information, to suggest you should look for ways to take it in just one way is absurd.
