Tumblr: The Rapid Rise of Social Blogging

Tumblr is a wildly popular way to get your voice heard. Whether you’re a teacher looking to quickly get your thoughts on digital paper or you’re a student / aspiring writer, it’s easy to see why the micro-blogging site saw a 900% growth last year.

Tumblr blogs are simple and easy ways to have your own site where you have to know almost nothing about technology. Like Twitter and Facebook, the beauty of Tumblr is that it’s beyond simple to update. So why is it so popular? An infographic from Mashable sheds some light on that. Those under Tumblr’s influence are fiercely loyal — with 2% of users making up 43% of total visits — and they log in from all over the world.
