A Look At National Teacher’s Day Around The World

If you’re a teacher in the US, you probably know that the first week in May each year is dedicated as “Teacher Appreciation Week”, and the last day of that week is ‘Teacher’s Day’. A day of celebrating teachers is great – especially if you’re a teacher. It’s always nice to be recognized, right? Well, it happens all over the world – just check out the below visual - many many countries have a day set aside to show appreciation for the awesome teachers in their country.

It shows when each country celebrates their Teacher’s day. From Venezuela to Panama, there are 79 countries with a designated  day for teachers. There are a few days in particular which are shared by many different countries, and other days that only one country celebrates.     National’s teacher day in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is 5. 10.

    Nigeria is not inclusive among the countries that celebrates teacher’s day.
