January 20th is the constitutionally mandated inauguration day, but since this year, the 20th fell on a Sunday, the festivities have been pushed back a day. The president was still sworn in privately at noon on the 20th, but the public festivities and ceremony are today. So… happy inauguration day!

A lot of people think that a president must go to an Ivy League school, study political science, and was probably at the top of their class, president of the student body, and all of the other trappings that come with being amazing, brilliant, and popular. But is that really how it is? Take a look at the fun infographic below to see what our former presidents’ educational backgrounds really looked like.

A Few Highlights

  • The university that produced the most presidents was Harvard University
  • Nine presidents did not graduate from college at all
  • Five former presidents were law school dropouts
