20 Little-Known Web Resources For Teachers

Got two minutes? It won’t take longer than that to roll through this terrific Slideshare presentation dubbed “20 in 120 seconds (The slowed down version)” by ICTMagic. I pride myself on knowing the vast majority of education technology resources available out there (and sharing them on Edudemic). But I was pleasantly surprised by this Slideshare as it contains more than a few resources that are new to me.

Ever heard of Popplet? It’s a fantastic mind map creator that I plan on using to scope out some projects at work. What about bo.lt? It’s an interesting take on note…taking. It lets you sketch out some notes on live websites. I could see this becoming a very useful tool on tablets. Imagine coming to Edudemic.com on your iPad, seeing a story you want to comment on or learn more about… and just writing down a few quick notes with your finger? Sounds fun to me.

The other 18 resources are equally interesting and I’m sure you haven’t heard of every single one in the presentation. If you have, then you are officially an EdTech Jedi Master and I’m in awe of you. Also, kudos to ICTMagic again for this stellar assembly of resources.

I just have to say that for being from some sort of educational company, the grammatical errors in the slideshow annoy me.

I appreciate the resources in the slideshow. However, the grammatical errors in the presentation text are just annoying and not a good representation of educators. Of course, I did come to this after reading the comic about being allergic to bad grammar, so perhaps I am predisposed to letting those things bother me. :)
